Reconditioning is the heart of what we do. Every tote earns its next life on our line — and the few that can't are recycled down to HDPE regrind and recovered steel. Nothing usable is crushed; nothing crushed is buried.

The goal is simple: extend the working life of the steel and plastic as far as safely possible, and only regrind material when a unit truly fails inspection.

A steel cage and pallet routinely outlast many fill cycles, and a clean HDPE bottle can serve again and again. So our line is built around one principle: keep the materials in service as long as safety allows. Every tote arrives, gets logged and sorted, and follows the path its own condition dictates — not the path that's cheapest for us that day.
The result is a genuine circular loop: most totes go back out as used stock, some become rebottled units, and only the truly spent are broken down for recovery.
Grading isn't a guess. Each tote passes a sequence of pass/fail gates, and a unit only earns a grade once it clears the ones that matter for that grade. The table below maps the checkpoints to their outcomes — including the moments a bottle is condemned and routed to recovery instead of resale.

A new IBC tote embodies the petroleum feedstock and polymerization energy of virgin HDPE, plus the ore, smelting and galvanizing behind its steel cage and pallet. Reconditioning skips nearly all of it — the resin and steel already exist. These conservative per-tote figures, derived from HDPE and steel life-cycle ranges, are what one reused tote keeps out of the atmosphere and the landfill.
