Where we run

Every corner of the region, batched by route.

Geography drives the schedule. Greater Boston is daily and quick; the farther out a stop sits, the more we consolidate it with other runs in that direction to keep freight efficient and your cost fair. Here's how the map breaks down from our Somerville hub.

MassachusettsHome turf — Greater Boston runs daily, statewide on a quick schedule.
New HampshireSouthern NH is a short hop; northern routes batched for efficiency.
Rhode IslandProvidence corridor reached easily off our southbound runs.
ConnecticutHartford and the I-91/I-95 corridors on regional routes.
VermontScheduled by route to keep freight efficient over the longer haul.
MainePortland and southern Maine consolidated with northbound loads.
Eastern New YorkAlbany / Capital Region and the eastern edge served on regional runs.

Palletizing & freight

Why totes cube out before they weigh out.

An empty IBC is bulky but light, so a trailer fills with volume long before it hits a weight limit. That's the single most important thing to know about tote freight: the per-tote cost is set by how much floor and stack space you use, not by the pounds. Because every tote shares the standard 48 × 40 inch footprint, they load tight and predictably — and the fuller your layer, the lower each tote's share of the trip.

Partial pallet layer2–5LTL / batched stopCubes out first
Full pallet layer~20–24Best per-tote rateStack height driven
Full truckload40–80+Programs & clear-outsFloor space driven

Tote counts are approximate and depend on stack height and vehicle. Confirm exact dimensions and fill weights on the size chart.

Backhaul efficiency

One truck, two jobs, half the empty miles.

The greenest and cheapest mile is the one that isn't driven empty. When we deliver reconditioned totes to your area and you have empties to send back, we collect them on the same trip — full one way, full the other. That shared route trims the freight on both your delivery and your buy-back, and it keeps a truck from deadheading.

It's the natural pairing with a standing supply program — bundle delivery with a buy-back pickup and put your empties on the return leg.

Backhaul wins

  • Delivery + empty collection on one route
  • Lower freight on both legs of the trip
  • Fewer deadhead miles and less fuel burned
  • Your empties priced into the same schedule
  • Closes the loop with reconditioning
Dock & handling tips

A smooth delivery starts before the truck arrives.

A few minutes of prep on your end keeps loading fast, safe and on schedule. Run through these before your delivery or pickup day.

Confirm fork access

Totes ride on a 48 × 40 inch base with 4-way fork entry — make sure a forklift or pallet jack can reach the staging spot.

Stage on level ground

A flat, firm surface keeps totes stable for safe loading and prevents a filled unit from leaning or tipping.

Know your stack rating

Filled liquid totes stack no more than two high, and only on a sound, rated cage — empties can go higher.

Clear the approach

A truck needs room to back in and a path free of low branches, tight gates and soft shoulders.

Have the count ready

Group totes by size and grade so loading and check-in go fast and the paperwork matches.

Mind dimensions & doors

A 330 stands ~53 in tall versus ~46 in for a 275 — check door and dock-seal clearance before delivery day.

Transport FAQ

Pickup, delivery and freight, answered.

What area do you cover?
All six New England states — Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island and Connecticut — plus parts of eastern New York, all from our Somerville, MA hub. Greater Boston runs are fast and frequent; longer hauls are batched by route to keep freight efficient.
Will you move just one tote?
Yes — there's no minimum. Single-tote runs around Greater Boston are quick and routine, and single units headed farther out are usually consolidated with other stops on the same route to keep the cost sensible.
How is freight priced?
Per order, by quantity and distance. Empty totes 'cube out' a truck before they weigh it out, so stack height and order size drive the per-tote cost more than pounds do. You'll get a written freight figure with your quote — no surprises at the dock.
Why does a fuller load cost less per tote?
Because the trailer fills by volume, not weight. A handful of totes occupies the same floor footprint per unit as a full layer, so spreading the trip across more totes drops each one's share of the freight. Order closer to a full pallet layer and your per-tote shipping cost falls sharply.
What is backhaul, and how does it save me money?
If we're delivering reconditioned totes to your area and you have empties to return, one truck does both jobs on the same trip — we deliver full and collect empty rather than running either leg empty. That shared route cuts the freight on both your delivery and your buy-back.
Can I pick totes up myself instead?
Absolutely. Will-call pickup at our Somerville facility is welcome during business hours. Tell us your vehicle and we'll stage the right quantity and help you load safely.

Need totes picked up or delivered?

Send the route and the count. We'll send freight options the same day. Selling totes too? Bundle it with a buy-back.
